[Jun. 25, 2004] - Added photos from Victoria visit. While in Victoria recently, I had the opportunity to snap some shots with outings to Ogden Point and Willis Point. I was accompanied by James Dahl and David Bickle, who kept things a little different than the norm, from my perspective at least. It was great diving with them and was a perfect compliment to my trip. Look forward to more diving with these characters. [Mar. 22, 2004] - Giant Nudibranchs flourishing. On this day the sun was high and bright but the visibility is dramatically worse. Diving at the government wharf in Tahsis, I discover Giant Nudibranchs are everywhere. In a small area I guess there to be nearly one hundered of them. All sizes, colors, markings, some mating, others hunting the tube dwelling anemones, and others somehow drifting in the water! They eagerly pose for the camera without modesty or reserve. Hope you enjoy the photos of these magnificent creatures. [Mar. 19, 2004] - New features added to site. New Features: Added the ability for comments to be submitted specific to the various pages. Added a showcase gallery for a selection of the best photos. Added ability to move through photos without returning to the thumbnails. Added a few links to other interesting web sites at [links]. Added more information in [about]. Added this page. [Mar. 18, 2004] - Added diving stories. I have added some stories in [writings] from 2002 and 2003. Namely a few detailed accounts from my time in Cyprus, summer of 2003, and my encounter of a six gill shark [In Memory of Grandpa]. [Mar. 10, 2004] - West Bay Park beauty at 7-14 meters. West Bay Park, located a few minutes from Tahsis, hosts some shallow rocky walls, that seem to gather a lot of attention by the underwater creatures. One can find various rockfish, sea squirts, sea cucumbers, sea slugs (nudibranchs) and sea pens there. Some pictures from this day of my particular interest have been added to the events section. [Mar. 8, 2004] - Ever wonder if it is worth diving mud flats? On this day I spent my dive time scouring the muddy/sandy bottom for things that go unnoticed. I have added photos for this event. They include geoduck clams, dungeoness crabs, tube-dwelling anemones, buffalo sculpin, and some unknown anemone with REALLY long and thin tentacles. [Feb. 29, 2004] - Added pictures of Deep Stronghold & area. I have added pictures from various days of diving around at Deep Stronghold and the immediate vicinity. At first this area appears barren and uninteresting, but if you have patience for detail, there is plenty of it. |
